Beyond the Wallet

Mute Wallet is more than a container; it's your identity layer for the decentralized internet. It allows you to sign in, interact, and transact with thousands of applications without creating accounts or trusting third parties with your data.

The Connection Handshake

When you visit a dApp (like Magic Eden or Jupiter):

1. Locate the 'Connect Wallet' button (usually top-right).

2. Choose 'Mute Wallet' (or 'Phantom' if Mute isn't explicitly listed—we are fully compatible).

3. Approving the Connection: This creates a secure channel. It does not give the site permission to move your funds.

Permission Hygiene

Be vigilant when signing requests. A standard message is harmless, but a Transaction Request requires scrutiny.

Watch out for permissions like 'Set Authority' or 'Approve All' unless you are absolutely certain of the dApp's intent. These can grant indefinite spending rights to a smart contract.

Use the Trusted Apps section in Mute settings to review and revoke permissions for old sites you no longer use.
